~Family~ I am blessed & grateful!

I am blessed & grateful!

My world revolves around my faith, family, friends and fulfilling the passions and purposes I believe God placed in my heart.  I also like alliterations, in case you couldn’t tell!

My husband, Jeff, and I are blessed with two grown children.  Our daughter and her husband just had their first child ~ our first grandchild ~ a beautiful baby girl named Mackenzie Rose. And our son just got married to an amazing young woman. Our family is growing and it is our joy to spend time all together whenever possible.

We are members of and fellowship at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California where we have been attending for over ten years.  We have been blessed to be part of a supportive small group for almost as long.  Jeff is an active volunteer leader in the Celebrate Recovery ministry.  I serve as an online missionary for Global Media Outreach.  In addition, I am a speaker for Stonecroft Ministries.

Jeff and I are both a little unconventional and entrepreneurs at heart, and it seems we always have several ventures going at one time.  While this makes life a little crazy at times, it is sure to supply me with plenty of stories to use!  Often times these stories fall into the “what not to do” category!  Jeff has an electronics waste recycling business, Living Green Recycling, and an online Ebay store, Hidden Treasure Finders.  I help him with both when I can.  Like everyone, I am limited to 24 hours a day, so as God calls me more and more to communicate, whether speaking or writing, I am slowly transitioning away from my other projects. When we are not busy with family and work, we enjoy studying God’s word, reading, playing golf, tennis, and enjoying all that Southern California has to offer.

I have been an active member of Toastmasters International for 10 years and have had the opportunity to participate in several speech contests.  I have also served a variety of club officer roles. In addition, I have had nine stories published in the Chicken Soup for the Soul anthologies.  My educational background is in business and real estate.  I earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University Fullerton’s School of Business and an Associate degree in real estate from Saddleback College.

I think that covers everything inquiring minds would want to know…except a few guilty pleasures, like watching The Biggest Loser while eating junk food, and I have the ability to turn any event or achievement (I woke up today) into a reason to treat myself to a tasty flavored coffee drink!

Thank you for letting me share a little bit about myself!

God bless you all,

    • Thank you for your kind words, Amy! I like your blog, too, and I am so blessed that a sister in the Lord stopped by! I can’t think of a better blog theme than hope ~ it’s the name of our dog, a constant reminder that we always have hope in the Lord. Keep getting out the good word and I look forward to learning more about you as I read your blog, too. God bless!
